Chapter 11

Come back to me, Natalie. As your maker I command you…

Kaige's image re-surfaced in her mind, cruel eyes and long black hair. No! Grayson faltered mid-stride, his breath shaking out of his body in two words, “You okay?”

Natalie nodded, determined not to let her horrors break into this moment. This moment was theirs alone. She squeezed the muscles deep inside and pulled away from him as she lay back slowly. Natalie twisted her body, turning before she hit floor so that she knelt on all fours. She felt him move up behind her, mounting her he slid back inside, to start build the desire again.

He pulled her back, only to rock her forward, the momentum pushing her hands against the floor. She closed her eyes, squeezing them tight as an overwhelming desire flooded her and it wasn’t the passion that she felt only moments before. No, this was different, this was Kaige.

I demand that you return to me Natalie. Return to me now…

Natalie let out a growl, fighting through the panic, determined to give Grayson one last time. Kaige’s call was too strong, too determined and Natalie knew that it was only a matter of time before she returned. Grayson’s breathing accelerated as he bounced her against him and he let out a moan. The desire was still there, still climbing inside of her even through the terror that Kaige bought with her.

Grayson’s hand slipped along her back, to reach under and cup her breast. He was almost there. She could feel his tremors inside as he struggled to hold on long as long as he could. His heart thundered, each beat echoed in her silent chest. She could almost feel the spark of his life as though it were her own. His heart skipped, then exploded and what felt like a star lit up her body from the inside as she climaxed.

“I love you,” Grayson groaned, shuddering and falling on top of her.

Natalie wanted to say the same. It felt right. “I love you too, Gray.”

She let her body fall forward, lying on the ground with the feel of him on her back. This moment was perfect, more than she could have hoped for.

“Well. I’d give that about a seven. What do you think guys? A bit anti-climactic for my taste.”

Natalie jumped as the snap of chambering rounds echoed around her and the sound of laughter echoed inside of her. She had been so focused on blocking Kaige out, that she had blocked everything else as well. Grayson pushed her harder against the floor in an effort to both protect her and cover her modesty as he roared, “What the fuck!”

Natalie tried to push Grayson off her. She was the one who could survive being shot, not him. But he wouldn’t have it. He held her still while he yelled. “What do you want, Steve? Why the fuck are you here?”

“I want what I’ve always wanted,” Steve said.

Natalie could not only hear the danger in his voice, she could sense the evil reach through the air to where she lay.
